Awareness is not the same as thought. It lies beyond thinking, although it makes use of thinking, honoring its value and its power. Awareness is more like a vessel which can hold and contain our thinking, helping us to see and know our thoughts as thoughts rather than getting caught up in
them as reality. Jon Kabat-Zinn
Noticing is a primary pathway to Awareness. In the practice of noticing, you come to KNOW that everything – all circumstances, thinking, people, places, even what you consider to be ‘YOU’! – are a ‘come and a go.’ You come to experience the movement of form, the constant change of the outer.
Inevitably this leads you to an ‘awareness’ of the Noticer. You come to experience yourself as the container of ALL of it. Ahhh . . . you’ve landed in the landscape of Awareness. So magnificent, really! There is power and play here.
And ALL is well!
