Dare to Know

When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth. Conan Doyle [Photo by Apesara]

Truth is like a mirage, shimmering in the distance, it looks one way from afar and it can be quite startling when you get ‘nose up’ to it. It can even be downright shocking and against the grain of what you’ve experienced.

The paradox of truth is that it’s not what you think, it’s not usually within the realm of surface understanding. So when you get blasted with the shell shock of what’s true, don’t run for cover. Soak in it, open to it, relinquish resistance and be willing to know.

One thing is for sure: there is no such thing as static truth. I know you may point to commandments and rules, but whether they’re scripture or statutes you can’t capture what’s true. Notice in science how many ‘rules’ have been broken, once more information has come to light.

You can create a container, a guideline, but you can’t hold the dynamic nature of what’s true. So for me, I don’t talk about TRUTH anymore, I point to what’s TRUE. That’s present tense, please.

Dare to know what’s TRUE for you.
