Free Family Karma

Have you noticed any family characteristics or habits that have found their way into your daily world, ones that you’d rather hadn’t taken up residence in your zip code?

Take a moment to check in right now and see if any ingrained ways of being, that are descriptive of your family gene pool, have leased some space in your lodgings. It might look something like this:

. . . worrying about the economy, the weather, the money
. . . watching the news and complaining about politicians, global warming, etc.
. . . limiting language like, “Things never work out for me.”
. . . criticizing what people wear, say and do
. . . having an ‘air’ of superiority, being right, control, etc.

One of the ways that the awareness might hit you is when you catch yourself doing something like your parents, or some other family member. A sure sign is when someone says, “You’re just like your mother!” Before you go into reactionary mode, take a pause and check in with your willingness to be ‘the buck stops here.’ Are you willing to shift the potential of a generational pattern and gift the world with the new?

It may take some time to wend it’s way into your DNA, but your choices do evolve you. Check in on you and check out the old. Be the portal for a new you, a new family, a new tribe.
