Ever wonder why you put up with insufferable situations? Go ahead and think of something in your life that you are currently enduring. Its usually tied into relationships with friends, family or co-workers. It’s something that you say you’re through with, but like that episode in Godfather III, “Every time you’re almost out, they pull you back in.”
What if it’s not them? What if it’s you? What if you’re holding out for something in them to change so that you’ll get what you want or think you need.
You suffer misery in the hope of pleasure. If it is pure misery it is impossible to cling to it. Osho
Unless you’re a prisoner of war, pain and misery are a choice, your choice. Sometimes it’s just a habit though. You may not even realize you’re dipping into an old groove. Moving out of these deeply ingrained patterns is like a rocket ship blasting free of the gravitational pull of the planet. There’s a good amount of fuel and power required. That’s why trying to shift on your own can be extraordinarily difficult.
Tune into the pleasurable potential you are seeking to glean from ‘your misery.’ No beating yourself about the head here. Just notice what it is that you truly want. Then align with the people, places and things, the scaffolding, that will have you show up as that easily. Orchestrate your brilliance!

Bingo! I need to hear this and make some new choices. I don’t consider myself to be really suffering, but just discontented and feeling unfree….but maybe this is a form of suffering, too. Thank you so.o.o.o. much for putting this out there for me to see what I’m willing to shift.

Sue,
Yes, it doesn’t have to be suffering. Often, it’s the small discontents that run deeper and hold your energy hostage without your realizing it.

I have proven such. After standing ground and letting go of expectations I have deeper truer respectful …and fun relationships with my children. It is sooo worth the work!

Susan,
It is in the engagement of it that the transformation can occur. Kudos to you for creating the new with your children and yourself.

For me the rainbow ribbon unhooking and gently offering back image pertains to my personal journey of releasing and redefining at a deeper level what society perceives as ‘a traditional family’. This has been both my biggest experiential learning challenge and also the bearer of my biggest gifts throughout my life…well so far: ))
I’ll return to this beautiful image on the so named ‘mother’s day’ this weekend and capture the essence of this image in a new unconditionally loving way that speaks from my heart.
Thank you Adela for so beautifully sharing the gift of your radiance~~~

Linda,
This unhooking from ‘traditional family’ has been part of my own adventure. I’ll bet plenty of us have been playing with this one. I have found that my ‘family’ of community and friends has been the most powerful catalyst in my own evolution.
Have a glorious unraveling of the rainbow ribbon on Mother’s Day.
Love your radiance too, darling, especially in your gorgeous writing!

Good Morning…just caught up on these last 2 shifts…..ahhhh how I have missed this shifting community….I thank you all for your shares and your love..I am re-committed to living at CHOICE and getting clear on what I really want…so much power I have given away to others who seemingly have gotten in my way or left me or done something to me… HA…the great cosmic joke is over….I see ME in the iceberg hanging on to old habits (and people) and as I try to let them go I sometimes hear ‘but but but…I need them….’ NOT ANYMORE…what I need is to fully embrace my brilliance and jump out into that scary land of creating something WAY bigger then me…it is the call now….If it isn’t scary it isn’t big enough…. I am off to PLAY HUGE today and even as I type that I am quaking and shaky…and there is a big YES in that….bring it on! I love my ‘shifting family’ here…. Thank you Adela and thank you all…..love love love….Kristine

That feels awesome, Kristine. A shedding of the ‘not you’ giving way to the magnificence of what truly matters. Yes!

Thank you for the shift. Looking into the deep cold water to see what is really going on was amazing. My dog listens with me to the shifts, and when I am getting….crazy, he just looks at me and tells me I need an energy shift. Thank you for connecting with me and my dog.

You’re welcome, Chris. Dogs are pretty smart. We should listen to them more often.
