Dear Conscious Entrepreneur™,

I’ve had an online business since 2003 and it has only been in the last two years that my business really became profitable. Before then it was hit or miss. I knew I could help people and make a difference. I was already doing that. However, I couldn’t figure out how to do it on a consistent basis and my cash flow was always up and down.
I suffered from serious bouts of depression and despair, ping ponging between relishing my work and feeling like I couldn’t make a go of it. I panicked at the thought of being sucked back into the daily drudge of a life sucking ‘job’ and giving up my vision of making a difference.
There’s only ONE thing between you and a successful business, but before we dive into that let’s explore what I would have done differently, knowing what I know now.
I WOULD HAVE CHANGED ONE THING
If I could change ONE thing about the past seven years it would be to hire a mentor much sooner. I waited five years before I was willing to make a BIG investment in myself. Yes, I took a training here and there and met with other people like me, but I didn’t have a structure or a plan to move me beyond my current experience. AND I didn’t do it on a consistent basis.
Make no mistake, you are moving in a specific trajectory that is dictated by your past experiences, locked into a programmed pathway, where you will inevitably repeat what you have already experienced. Yes, a book here, a happenstance meeting there, will create a momentary ‘a-ha’, a beam of awareness that will hit you upside the head, but it will take you years to evolve beyond your current level of awareness unless you take massive action to create a NEW pathway. Doing it alone, is NOT the most energetically or emotionally economical option.
HOW FAST CAN YOU GROW YOUR BUSINESS
I’m not going to lie to you. On average it can take 1-3 years to create a profitable business. It took me 1 year and I had a mentor AND a supportive, like-minded community. Otherwise, it can take you 5-7 years if you’re a ‘never give up type.’ Most people just call it quits and leave their precious gifts bottled up, or festering inside them.
There may be moments when that seems like a tempting alternative, but this is no time to sit out on the sidelines. Quantum global shifts do not occur with marches, signing of petitions or even boycotting of big business. Those are very slow moving, ‘per cause’ strategies. It’s a long term strategy that requires critical mass. Real movement begins in your own zip code.
Cosmic shifts happen when individuals, like you and me, are willing to BE that change, on a regular basis. Money is still the primary currency in the world. Shifting money into the hands of conscious entrepreneurs will create a tsunami of transformation, especially if we are actively connected to one another in a vibrant community.
Remember a time when the words ‘soul, heart or energy’ were only whispered in yoga studios, holistic centers and private living rooms. The world is now more open to a heart centered paradigm because of the millions of people who quietly answered the inner call to a vision of a new way of being. You don’t learn, or come to know anything, by being a spectator. You come to know it through experience, through BEing it!

This year I’ve held four Conscious Business Telesummits, worked with over 75 people in group programs and mentored several Platinum clients. I’ve heard all kinds of reasons why people are not stepping into their business. Some of these might sound familiar…
- I don’t know how to put into words what I do.
- I don’t know where to find my tribe or where my ideal clients are.

I could fill up the page with the infinite number of reasons why you don’t have a profitable business. Here’s the thing, there are really only two reasons: You believe the ‘Inner Game’ conversations you have with yourself AND you don’t take massive action. WHAT MY CLIENTS TAUGHT ME THIS YEAR
I’ve worked with some awesome Conscious Entrepreneurs this year on their business adventure. My community has given me an opportunity to test some of my theories and change my mind on others. Whether I was working with platinum clients or members in my training programs, here are the four things I know for sure:
Your WHY must drive your business. Why are you really in business? If money is the only driver it can only take you so far. Unless you are tapped into your burning WHY, it will be very difficult for you to risk taking action on your visions. There has to be a compelling reason to drive you beyond your current level of comfort to venture into a bigger and unfamiliar playground.
Information does not lead to transformation, committed action does. I’ve given out a TON of information in my programs. As a matter of fact, I’ve given away ALL my strategies, inside know how and tools, everything I’ve done to reach the level of success I now enjoy. Information won’t create your business, taking action on that information will.
The Inner Game can be another distraction. If you spend most of your time focusing on the Inner Game you won’t bring your being into action. You’ll find more ‘inner game’ reasons not to show up brilliantly. “Energy flows where attention goes.” It takes extraordinary bandwidth to snap out of the ‘inner game maze.’ Arranging success and aligning with high-vibing partners is a better strategy.
A masterful mentor and aligned community create rapid growth. Doing things alone, or getting together with a group of friends that don’t have the necessary mindset and experience to help you shift yours won’t create expansion in your business. You want to work with a mentor who embodies your vision of business!
I know those are some pretty strong statements. The truth is I care more about bringing your greatness into being, than being popular. I have never been part of the ‘in crowd,’ that’s not my path. I’m on for a massive shift in consciousness, and that means helping you create a profitable business.
